Offerdahl's Cafe Grill

Project Scope

The Meisel National Account Manager was invited to meet with John Offerdahl, former Miami Dolphins All-Pro linebacker and now owner of Offerdahl's Cafe Grill. Another Meisel client had referred John. He and his team wanted our input on their in store visual program and how it could be modified to help boost sales in their nine quick casual restaurants.

Meeting at the store for lunch, Meisel's Account Executive shared her impressions: the process for placing and picking up an order was unclear and hard to understand. The menuboard was confusing. The shots of the food items were undersized and displayed towards the dining room, after you had placed your order. For several hours, they met to work over ideas and concepts. The following week, Meisel presented an idea guide that allowed the client to pick and choose among several materials, hardware and sizes.

Meisel's Solution

After reviewing the various options she presented, Offerdahl's chose to use Meisel's 10 oz double-sided inkjet banners in the windows. Working with one of our vendors, Meisel designed a display unit from standard components in a customized size that gives Offerdahl's a unique look and permitted the graphics to be easily updated as they introduced new menu items. A floor stand in the entrance and on the patio promotes their signature "bowls". Other ideas and changes are in tests now.

The Results

We were thrilled to receive the following letter:

With the help of this program, same store sales are up over 40% system wide with no other marketing changes, except the In Store Visuals program.
